The origin of Mother's Day

It is accepted that Mother's Day was first celebrated in the US. A lady named Anna Jarvis held a dedication for her mom since her mom communicated a longing and had requested that she hold a commemoration after her demise. Hence, three years after her mom's demise on May 10, 1908, Jarvis held a remembrance service to respect her mom and all moms at Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church.
